GibsonSingleton, Olivia’s, and Scoot’s announce first “Hometown Hero,” Lester Sterling
GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys, Olivia’s in the Village, and Scoot’s BBQ restaurants have recognized our first “Hometown Hero,” Lester Sterling.
We and the restaurants are honoring people who inspire others with their acts of kindness and compassion this year.
Several people from Gloucester nominated Lester Sterling, including Beth Bunting, Sarah Burney, Kristi Rowe, and Buddy Rilee.
They reported that Sterling serves through the Samaritan Group, Gloucester Rotary Club, Bread for Life, Singleton Methodist Church, and through many behind-the-scenes projects.
Bunting wrote, “Lester is one of the most selfless, devoted servants I have known. He quietly gives and serves our community, doing whatever is needed without fanfare or seeking attention.”
Burney wrote, “Lester helps strangers like they are family. If he sees someone in need, he is the first one to jump in and do everything possible to help.”
Rilee said, “Lester puts all his energy to helping people, and we need more folks like him.”
Rowe wrote, “Lester is ready to help wherever he can. Just recently, I learned that he supported a member of our community who was injured in an automobile accident in Middlesex. His positive outlook and his ability to serve his community so diligently are inspiring.”
Mr. Sterling won a $100 gift certificate from Olivia’s, along with a gift basket from GibsonSingleton.
