Meet our Texts=Wrecks finalists: Gillian Pritchett

Our first finalist is Gillian Pritchett, a 19-year-old student at Wesleyan College in Georgia. Working toward her degree in Early Childhood Education, Gillian hails from Warner Robins, Georgia, and has a personal connection with reckless driving. We’ll let her tell you in her own words.

Let’s remember Memorial Day and celebrate National Military Appreciation Month

Law partners Gibson, Singleton oppose each other in drunk driving “mock sentencing trial” for Middlesex teen

Just in time for senior prom, GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys Ken Gibson and John Singleton staged a mock “driving under the influence” (DUI) sentencing trial for Middlesex High School students on April 20. The trial demonstrated what can happen when teens drink alcohol and drive.

Attorneys Gibson and Singleton worked with Middlesex County School Resource Officer and event organizer Chris Gatling to organize this memorable event. Gibson played the role of prosecutor while Singleton played the role of defense attorney, pretending to oppose each other in the courtroom. Middlesex County Commonwealth’s Attorney Michael Hurd acted as judge.

Our “Texts=Wrecks” campaign continues

Helping Virginia teens and adults make a difference

Ken Gibson and John Singleton once answered a call to serve our country in the Marine Corps. Next, they went to law school and became attorneys in answer to a different call to serve others. Today, they are serving their community by speaking to local high school students in Gloucester, Mathews, and Middlesex about safe driving.

GibsonSingleton receives more than 702 coats from generous community in annual Coat Drive

GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys’ Fall Coat Drive collected 702 coats plus cash donations from generous donors in the community.

The firm primarily gave the coats to the Salvation Army, which distributes them to local children and many others in need, and the Hampton Veterans Administration Center, which serves many homeless veterans.

Gibson, Singleton chair Christmas project to deliver 90 turkey dinners to local families in need

Our attorneys, Ken Gibson and John Singleton, wanted to help local people who might not be having a Christmas dinner this year.  To fulfill the mission, they enlisted their fellow members of the Middle Peninsula Bar Association.

The Association jumped in wholeheartedly, and the first “Lawyers Aren’t Turkeys” Christmas Dinner Project was born.

Children’s coats are needed most of all!

Since the beginning of October, we’ve been collecting donations for our annual Fall Coat Drive. The Eastern Virginia community has answered our call, generously donating 180 coats to date! We want to THANK YOU all so much, and at the same time let you know that the Salvation Army REALLY needs more children’s coats. If you’re planning to donate, you can’t go wrong with a child’s coat! Please, bring your new and used coats to our office in Hayes. We’re open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
