GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys announce 2020 “Text=Wrecks” Scholarship

By Beth Gibson on March 13, 2020

We at GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys are enthusiastic to kick off our 2020 Texts=Wrecks Scholarship! There’s no better cure for a dangerous situation than preventing the situation to start with. For example, choosing not to drink and drive decreases your chances of causing a drunk-driving accident by 100%, and the same goes for texting while driving. You can’t undo a car wreck, but you can do everything in your power to be a safe driver and to avoid causing an accident.

Our attorneys try to stop accidents before they even happen. That’s why we at GibsonSingleton started our “Text=Wrecks” campaign – to save lives. But in order to do that, we need your help!

We know that the generation entering college today is amazing. You are the leaders who will create the change that you want to see when it comes to making yourselves and your loved ones safer on the road. That’s why we want your very best ideas – including things you’ve already tried that have worked – that help yourself, your family, and your friends drive more safely.

Please present your brilliant ideas in a 500-1,000-word essay, using the following prompt:

“When you go to college, you’re essentially moving from the passenger seat of life into the driver’s seat. Now, you’ll be making your own choices, both good and bad. At GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys, we’re passionate about preventing senseless accidents by encouraging people to make good choices—like choosing not to drive distracted, or choosing not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs! How are you going to take what you’ve learned so far in life to make these types of decisions now that you’re an adult?”

All current high school students in the United States are welcome to apply. The chosen winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship for their bright future! Applications are due on May 13, 2020, and the winner will be announced on June 11, 2020. Find more information about our scholarship, including the application here, and be sure to follow us on Facebook and keep your eyes on our blog for any updates.

Good luck, and we can’t wait to hear from you!
