At our law firm, you’re our neighbor, not a number.

Bringing clients big city experience, small town care.

At GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys, the relationship with our clients goes beyond the ordinary. Some personal injury law firms are settlement mills, which means they take large numbers of cases, but don’t put it in the time and effort to get to know you and the damages the injury caused you. These types of firms settle for less than top value.

Ken Gibson and I don’t work like that.

We understand that people often come to us in their times of greatest need. Typically, they come after someone has injured them or their family, and the other person or insurance company is not making good on their obligation to pay the money they owe.

When this happens, we at GibsonSingleton make it our personal mission to recover our injured client’s losses. We do not compromise to get an easy settlement, and we won’t hesitate to go to trial to get our clients the compensation they deserve if we believe it’s in their best interests.

What’s big city experience?

As a lawyer who used to work with big, nationwide insurance companies, I have an interesting viewpoint on the situation. I know the tactics the big insurance companies will use and the points they will argue. I’ve seen them engage in behaviors like victim-blaming. That’s one reason I switched to helping injury victims, along with my partner, Ken Gibson, a former federal prosecutor.

While many of our local adjusters are good people just doing their jobs, the big companies they work for do not always care about you. The big insurance companies certainly don’t understand that a bad accident can affect a commercial waterman differently from how it affects a teacher at Peasley Middle School. Both deserve to be fully compensated so they can get their lives back.

We get it. And at our firm, clients get our full commitment to serving them. As former U.S. Marines, Ken and I believe in the Marine motto Semper Fidelis, which means “always faithful.” To us, that means that we see your claim through to the end, and we do not stop fighting until your case is settled to your satisfaction or beyond.

What’s small town care?

In short, we treat our clients like the neighbors they are. We believe that neighbors are there for each other in times of need. We are a true family law firm. Ken and I work beside our wives, Beth and Margaret. Together, we all go the extra mile to give our neighbors the best of our “big city experience, small town care.” GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys may be called many things by opponents, but we won’t be called a settlement mill.

Here’s one example of what our “small town care” can look like: During a recent meeting with one of our clients who had been injured, she happened to mention that she had always wanted a baby goat. We saw a chance to do something neighborly because it so happened that I had a friend who had several new baby goats. When this client’s case was finalized, besides presenting her with a large check from the other side’s insurance company, we gave her a baby goat. This is the type of neighborly relationship we try to have with all our clients.

How can we help you?

If someone else’s bad choices have injured you or your loved one, you’re not alone, and you’re not without help. We’ll sit down with you in our Gloucester office and talk about your situation. If you don’t need a lawyer, we’ll tell you what you need to do to handle the situation on your own. But if you’re seriously injured, and the other insurance company doesn’t want to cooperate in making you whole, we’ll fight to see that your recovery needs are met, and that your financial future is secure.

The best part? We only get paid if we get you a settlement or jury verdict. That means we handle most upfront costs and out-of-pocket expenses, and we even set up medical liens to get you treatment right away when you need it. That’s all part of our Zero Fee Guarantee.

Have a legal question? Feel free to call GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys at (804) 413-6777 for a case evaluation with our team. You don’t always need a Gloucester County personal injury lawyer, but when you do, talk to us first. You’ll be glad you did.
