Give to our Fall Coat Drive

By Beth Gibson on September 28, 2016

You are invited to give to our Fall Coat Drive from now through Dec. 20. You’re encouraged to drop off new or used coats from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at our office, 4073 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes.

We are working with the Salvation Army to distribute the coats to people in need in our community.

All who donate a coat will receive a free car charger for cell phones and other electronics. You can also register for drawings to win a road safety kit and CDs from The Ballast Band. Drawings will be held throughout the drive.

“Winter is difficult for people without the means to buy coats, especially families with children,” said partner John Singleton. “We were so impressed with our community’s response to this huge need last year that we decided to host another coat drive this year.”

Partner Ken Gibson said: “Last year, we were able to give coats to 450 men, women and children in our area who needed them. Whether you have a closet full of coats you no longer wear, or one child’s coat that’s been outgrown, we encourage you to donate this year.”

GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys has set a goal of collecting 500 coats during the drive, which would surpass last year’s total of 450. Singleton said, “We believe that the good and generous people of the Middle Peninsula will answer the call again.”

Gibson concluded, “During the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, we have the desire to give back. Our firm wants to give back to the community where we live and work, and our coat drive is one way we can do that.”
