Are you ready to meet our 2020 “Texts=Wrecks” Scholarship winner?

We at GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys spent many weeks reviewing the almost 1,000 applications we received for our 2020 “Texts=Wrecks” Scholarship. It wasn’t easy to choose five finalists and then the winner of our $1,000 scholarship. But after reading and re-reading some amazing essays, we have reached a consensus.
We congratulate:
Michael H. from Americus, Georgia!
Michael, your essay was inspiring on many levels. Reading the steps you have taken to better yourself and your community touched our hearts. As personal injury attorneys, we have seen how devastating distracted driving can be. Your essay gave us hope for your generation of young people. You obviously understand that driving is a privilege, and that we all need to work together to educate each other about how to use that privilege responsibly. And, you have already been doing that! Congratulations for all you have accomplished already and for winning!
We recommend that everyone read Michael’s essay. He presents important statistics and actions he’s taken, along with his plan to keep himself, his passengers, and others safer on the road.
Thank you to everyone who sent us an essay! It was wonderful to read your tips and ideas for how you stay focused on the road. We hope you’ll consider applying again next year if you’re still a high school or college student. Even if you didn’t win this time, you could certainly win next year. If you would like more safety tips from our firm and our future scholarships, please follow our Facebook page, and check out our blog.
Thank you again to everyone who showed an interest in keeping our roads—and each other—safer! We applaud you, and again, send special congratulations to Michael!
